Using the Data Editor

The editor responsible for the data shows that the content of the active file. The information contained in the Data Editor consists of variables and cases. The data suggest that the columns represent variables and rows represent observations. Given the variables in each row is a variable, and each column an attribute associated with that variable.

Enter numerical data, click the tab at the bottom of the variable Data Editor window. You define variables.

Enter the string data, click on the View tab at the bottom of a variable in the Data Editor window. The first type of cell line variable name is empty. Click on the cell type under the entry. Click the button to the right cell type to open the Type box. Select the string, click the "OK".

Add tags to describe the changing variables. Click the View tab at the bottom of a variable in the Data Editor window. Then, label all the possible column should be.

Change type of variable format and click on the cell type. Changes, and then click OK to save.
